The maturation cycle of the Chaga mushroom is unique, and its growth and formation take place within 10-15 years. Chaga is harvested only from live or freshly cut birches. On dry or dead wood, Chaga is destroyed, and the content of biologically active substances in it is sharply reduced. The quality and its biological properties depend on this. That is why we have our own team of raw materials collectors.

For 40 years of research, the Institute of Cytology and Genetics has determined the growing locations of the most effective Chaga, most of which grow in certain areas of the Altai Mountains.

In the middle of the last century (possibly due to global warming), the Reishi mushroom began to grow in the Russian Altai Mountains in the clearings of Siberian larch. Due to the properties of Siberian larch, the wild-growing Reishi significantly exceeds the Chinese industrial product in terms of the concentration of useful nutrients.

A unique shrub that grows only in southern Siberia, has been used by Buryat shamans as a medicine for centuries. Solely wild-growing, uncultivated plant, harvested only at the end of summer.

The leaves and stems of Sagan Dalya contain tanning substances – flavonoids (quercetin, rutin, dihydroquerticin, myricetin).
Quercetin has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and helps to normalize blood pressure in case of hypertension. Rutin strengthens the walls of the capillaries and prevent thrombosis. Dihydroquerticin is used to treat allergies. Myricetin is strong antioxidant.

Linolenic, oleic, ursolic, oleanolic fatty acids are involved in the metabolic process. In addition, they protect cells from pathogenic bacteria and viruses.

This substance is used for the treatment and prevention of Parkinson's disease and other nervous system diseases.

Oleanolic acid is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent. It has an irritating effect on the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose, and mouth, which ultimately leads to increased secretion of glands and thinning of phlegm. In medicine, it is used as a component for expectorants, and in cosmetology to create cosmetics that relieve irritation and are used against acne.

Inositol (more precisely, myo-inositol or vitamin B8) is a vitamin-like substance that helps transmit cellular signals in response to various hormones, neurotransmitters and growth factors. Scientists have proven that inositol is responsible for concentration, memory and visual acuity, and improves the transmission of nerve impulses. Inositol is responsible for the tonic effect of Sagan-Dalya.

Inositol also helps control the production of dopamine and serotonin, relieves anxiety and helps to eliminate symptoms of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and is also used to treat bipolar disorder.

The leaves of Sagan-Dalya contain a lot of ascorbic acid, which is why the plant has antioxidant properties. Vitamin C is also involved in collagen synthesis and helps to neutralize free radicals

One of the most important polysaccharides contained in Chaga is β-glucans. These substances have long been widely used in immunotherapy during the cancer treatment.

Melanin, obtained from the mycelium of Сhaga, has a neutralizing ability against the Covid-19 virus, influenza virus, human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), herpes simplex virus type 2, smallpox vaccine, viral hepatitis, variola virus.

Lanostane triterpenoids of Chaga are well studied. Among them inotodiol has the strongest pharmacological activity showing pronounced effect on suppressing the growth and proliferation of cancer cells.

One of the recently identified polyphenolic derivatives isolated from Chaga raw materials is 3,4-dihydroxybenzalacetone. It shows inhibitory activity against the tumor growth factor chemokine NF-κappaB.

Humic acids of Сhaga has a wide range of antiviral activity, including activity against the viruses of foot-and-mouth disease, Coxsackie A9 virus, influenza A virus, herpes simplex type 1 virus (HSV-1), COVID-19, tick-borne encephalitis virus. These substances act as low-toxic microbiocides (substances that destroy viral particles) and used as a preventive measure against the spread of infections (including HIV / AIDS).

Humic acids have a hepatoprotective, antihypoxic, antioxidant effect.

Reishi mushroom contains biologically active polysaccharides- β-1-3- and β-1-6-D-glucans. In addition to high molecular weight polysaccharides, the mushroom also contains a matrix of water-insoluble polysaccharides, which is responsible for the physical hardness of the mushroom body. They act as immunomodulators and antioxidants. Also act as anticancer agents.

Triterpens inhibit the growth and metastasis of tumor cells. They have antioxidant properties and reduce oxidative damage by neutralizing free radicals.

Triterpenes initiate the death mechanisms of human tumor cells. They are able to regulate the activity of several key proteins involved in the processes of tumor metastasis. These proteins include, in particular, matrix metalloproteinases and angiogenic factors.
